Description of the Funds
Crystal Rig Community Benefit fund – ELCC and East Lammermuir Community Benefit Fund Ltd. (ELCBF) administer the allocation of funding for local community projects from Fred. Olsen Renewables, operators of the Crystal Rig wind farms.
Ideally, the fund will support projects and infrastructure which promote the economic, social and/or environmental sustainability of the catchment area.
Applications are through a form on our website (via the button above). There are two deadlines per year, in autumn and spring; 9am 15th October, or 15th April.
The Crystal Rig Community Benefit Fund is now open for Nov 2026 (autumn) applications.
Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) – The NnG Community Fund (East Lammermuir) is administered by Foundation Scotland.
The NnG fund focuses on activities to achieve our 4 community priorities taken from the Local Place Plan 2024-2034. Decisions are made by a funding panel consisting of directors of ELCBF and an additional community representative for each four of the ambitions.
- -Warmer, more efficient homes
- -A new active travel network
- -Improved community transport links
- -Improved local biodiversity
A discussion, about project suitability and scope, is needed with ELCC before applying.
The NnG Community Fund is open for applications at several points through the year, next deadline 2nd August 2026.
